This is a year of milestones in my family. Our 3 children were in the same middle school together this year – our oldest daughter in 8th grade and our twins in 6th grade. My husband and I will celebrate our 15-year anniversary and “big” birthdays for us both with a trip to Hawaii! And we’ve taken the opportunity with a few extra trips throughout the year to enjoy more dedicated time with friends and family. We’re always on the go with 3 kiddos in multiple sports! It seems their interests have already settled on softball (for 1 daughter), baseball and football (for our son), soccer (for both girls), and basketball (for all 3!). In addition to travel, we also love spending time outdoors – hiking, being water and beachside, or simply walking with Maggie Wags (our Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier).

There are too many things that I love about The Joseph Group to just share a “most,” but I’ll try to narrow it down! I love that I have the opportunity to serve in a role that could not fit me better. I joined The Joseph Group the year that its service team grew to TWO team members. As a Client Service Specialist, my path was one that would remain in our Service Excellence Team, whereas our Client Service Representative (Nick Boyden, at that time!) would follow a path to Advisor. All those years ago, I couldn’t have imagined that my role would evolve into Director of Client Services, where I get to focus more on operations, process and procedure, systems, etc. Further, having been named the Chief Compliance Officer, I get to lead a group of team members who work hard to create and uphold a strong culture of compliance. (Wondering about that CSR, Nick? You’ll have to check out his story to learn more!) I also love the people that I work with and the clients that I work for. I get to interact each day with a group of talented and professional colleagues who have become great mentors and friends. And despite my shifted focus on operations and compliance, I still get to work for so many of our clients who I’ve been fortunate to grow with and get to truly know over the years. I particularly love it when a client thinks of reaching out to me to share a story or even a picture to keep me up to date with how things are going in their life – it makes my heart smile!

To me, a great life is having and living with a sense of purpose. It’s being supportive and supported. And it’s providing (alongside my husband!) a solid foundation for our family. A great life means that I am giving back to others what I’ve received thus far in my life – whether that’s guidance, knowledge, or a whole lot of care and love. I am grateful for the life I am living and am excited for the chapters that have yet to be written.
