Meet Sandi Long. Sandi’s young son was diagnosed with an inoperable brainstem tumor with an 18 month prognosis. He lived another 12 years, but processing his loss just after his 18th birthday seemed insurmountable at times. Struggling through her own grief journey ultimately led Sandi in recent years to be a GriefShare facilitator. GriefShare, a bible-based program, is designed to help people navigate through the grief of losing a loved one through guided support groups. After her own journey, the one thing Sandi wants to tell people now is don’t grieve alone.
