Spreading Hope Across Borders

To Inspire:
Perhaps you read the recent Columbus Dispatch article on Youth Across Borders and its founder, Courtney Bosca. A Columbus resident, Courtney’s experience with Montana de Luz, a home in Honduras for children and young adults living with HIV, led her to imagine helping to foster connections between those children and youth and HIV positive youth and young adults in other countries, including the United States.
From that imagining was born Youth Across Borders which offers mutually beneficial cross-cultural experiences that provide love and support for everyone involved, enhance the medical and emotional care needed by those infected with HIV and help to eliminate the stigma so many of these children and teens bear. In a word, Courtney and YAB create hope. And hope is just what these beautiful children and young adults need.
Courtney has been on four Youth Across Borders trips as well as many visits to homes for HIV infected children and young adults and she uses these experiences to shape and direct the organization’s future path.
Maybe Courtney’s second half resonates with you. What imagining can you do? Who needs your unique gifts, love, talents, and passion? How can you build a better world, one person at a time?
